Reopening procedures

  • Our friendly staff and volunteers are eager to welcome you back into our home.
  • Great performers are ready to take to our stage and provide quality experiences you've come to expect and cherish.
  • Cold beverages in our Official Tumblers are available to enjoy during performances.
  • New policies have been put in place to safeguard everyone's health and wellbeing. Please read them below before heading out to the theater. (These safety requirements are both for your protection as well as to keep the Arts Center running as a viable arts organization.)
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures have been put in place to ensure our environment is ready for your return. Read about our changes below.

Our current health climate is ever-changing. Please frequent this page before attending performances and events, as policies may be updated.

Our New Policies

Face coverings, which cover your nose and mouth, are required for all patrons and staff throughout the duration of the event (including during performances). Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when consuming concessions.

You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but should remain stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.

Temperature screenings are required for entry to all of our indoor events.

Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying a temperature of 100.4 F or above will not be allowed entry, nor will anyone in their party.

Before you leave home, be sure to check the temperatures of everyone in your party — including yourself — as an extra precaution.

All patrons and staff are required to practice physical distancing at all times.

Please follow directional signage and ground markings, which have been placed to help patrons better navigate the area while practicing physical distancing.

Cleaning and sanitation regiments have been enhanced throughout the Arts Center using CDC approved and EPA registered industrial-strength disinfectant that is safe for all surfaces.

Extra attention is given to high-traffic areas including public elevators, handrails, benches, seats, tables, restrooms and more.

After each performance, the Arts Center will be sanitizing the theater house and lobby using a state of the art ULF disinfecting fogging system.

Additionally, hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed throughout the building. Frequent usage is encouraged.

Entry and exit procedures are currently being finalized.

Sitting and loitering in the lobby will not be allowed.

Upon entry, each patron is to present and hold their own ticket to be scanned at the entrance door.

Please present your e-ticket with barcode to be scanned at the entrance door.

Additionally, please attend with a photo ID showing the name under which you reserved your tickets, as this may be used to validate your reservation.

Physically Distanced Seating

Seating within the theater has been reduced and reallocated to be staggered for a government mandated 50% occupancy.

When selecting seats, please be aware of the new arrangement and consider those seated around you.

Ticketing + COVID-19 FAQs

What happens if my event is canceled due to COVID-19?

When events are canceled, you will be contacted via email from info@artshhi.com with instructions on how to handle your ticket value.

You will have the option to donate the value of your tickets, receive an account credit for the full ticket value, or request a refund (please allow time for payment processing if requesting a refund).

What happens if my event is postponed or rescheduled due to COVID-19?

When events are postponed or rescheduled, you will be contacted via email from info@artshhi.com with the new event information as soon as we are updated.

Unless notified otherwise, your tickets will be valid for the new event date.

If your event is postponed, note that we are working to identify new dates, and will contact you as soon as we have confirmation.

What if I can no longer attend my event due to COVID-19?

Our standard cancellation policy remains in effect. Paid tickets can be cancelled; however, refunds are not issued. All sales are final. Learn More.

Am I able to purchase tickets in-person?

At this time, in-person tickets are not being sold as our Box Office is being staffed remotely. We strongly encourage you to make your purchase online in advance as theater seating is currently reduced to 50% capacity.

What happens if I arrive after the show starts?

Please be aware, latecomers may not be seated until intermission and are seated at the discretion of house management.

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you, our other patrons, and staff. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and patrons with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Arts Center of Coastal Carolina you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

The health and safety of our patrons, staff, and volunteers are our highest priority, and we appreciate your support. These safety requirements are both for your protection as well as to keep the Arts Center running as a viable arts organization.
