Summertime fun is ahead for ages 6 and up with the Arts Center's creative, action-packed summer camps. Our camps are unique in that they are meaningful skill-building projects, not just crafts, fostering creativity all summer long!
Make a cast of new friends during this fun-filled week! Experience a mini-production as both the cast and creative writers.
Students will work with professional artists and will be exposed to a variety of performing art forms in our Black Box Theatre and will create a mini showcase performance on the final day!
Study folk and fine art from all around the world that will inspire both traditional and unusual 2D and 3D masterpieces.
Work alongside local artist Amos Hummell to create mixed media wall hangings in the style of the artist himself!
Use the S.C. coastal region as your muse, exploring concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math while making Art! (STEAM!)
Learn a variety of dance and drama techniques while working with the cast of the Arts Center’s production of Rock of Ages.
Our goal is to protect patrons, visitors, employees, staff, artists, and volunteers, as well as to mitigate the potential for the spread of the virus in our community. We continue to practice enhanced cleaning procedures and students who are exhibiting any signs of illness will be asked not to attend. For the 2022 Summer Camp season, The Arts Center will follow the CDC recommendations on masking for Beaufort County in accordance with the CDC’s U.S. COVID-19 Community Levels by County map. As of 3/1/22 masking is not required but please know that this situation is fluid and subject to change.
Visual art campers should wear old clothing and/or bring a smock to protect their clothes. Theatre campers should bring a lunch. Curbside drop-off and pick up will be in effect for all camps.
