The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is looking for friendly, energetic and committed theater lovers! Volunteers provide very valuable community assistance to the Arts Center in many ways, and we need volunteer ushers to greet patrons and take tickets, usher in the theater and bartend. Most theater shifts are between 3 - 4 hours long depending on the performance. We have evening and day time shifts available. Volunteering for performances at the Arts Center does require some physical responsibilities and you must be able to stand for extended periods of time, sometimes through an entire performance. If you love the arts and are a people person, this may be the volunteer opportunity for you!
Want to help outside of the theater? We maintain a database of folks interested in distributing posters for performances, helping at community events like the Christmas Tree lighting, working our golf tournament and assisting with our educational programs.
If you are interested and would like more information, please email us at email@example.com.
Our continued success depends on our committed volunteers. Come join the fun at the award winning Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
Volunteers are needed to:
- Serve as ushers and bartenders for performances
- Assist with mailings
- Distribute posters
- Participate in community festivals and special events
- Assist with education programs
- Help with production preparation and backstage during productions
- Act as volunteers in the Walter Greer Gallery
More than ever, college graduates find themselves entering a tough job market. The competition for jobs is intense, and graduates may not only find themselves vying for jobs against other recent graduates but also against more seasoned candidates who already have a few years of work experience under their belts. That’s why internships have become so incredibly valuable for a graduate’s résumé as he or she enters the workforce. Internships provide students with real-world experience, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned in school by addressing business problems in a hands-on manner, while also getting a true sense of how an organization operates.
Each spring at the Arts Center, we interview a group of interested college students to learn and assist as summer interns in areas from backstage to box office, marketing and fundraising to stage management, as well as openings for interns interested in arts education and arts management. Note: First year internships do not have an accompanying stipend.
To apply, e-mail a résumé and cover letter specifying your area of interest, and telling us a bit about yourself and your goals, to Alana Adams, Senior Director of Education, firstname.lastname@example.org. Your résumé will be routed to the specific department and you will be contacted. Get the award-winning Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on your résumé and get noticed!
