- Help with production preparation and backstage during productions
- Act as volunteers in the Walter Greer Gallery
More than ever, college graduates find themselves entering a tough job market. The competition for jobs is intense, and graduates may not only find themselves vying for jobs against other recent graduates but also against more seasoned candidates who already have a few years of work experience under their belts. That’s why internships have become so incredibly valuable for a graduate’s résumé as he or she enters the workforce. Internships provide students with real-world experience, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned in school by addressing business problems in a hands-on manner, while also getting a true sense of how an organization operates.
Each spring at the Arts Center, we interview a group of interested college students to learn and assist as summer interns in areas from backstage to box office, marketing and fundraising to stage management, as well as openings for interns interested in arts education and arts management. Note: First year internships do not have an accompanying stipend.
To apply, e-mail a résumé and cover letter specifying your area of interest, and telling us a bit about yourself and your goals, to Alana Adams, Senior Director of Education, firstname.lastname@example.org. Your résumé will be routed to the specific department and you will be contacted. Get the award-winning Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on your résumé and get noticed!
