Box Office:

The Arts Brighten Our Spirits and Nourish Our souls.

Due to show cancellations and postponed productions, we need your help to continue bringing the best of performing arts, entertainment, education and outreach to our community.

Contributions to this emergency fund will directly impact our ability to return to cultural arts programming as quickly as possible once the Arts Center safely reopens and ensure that the Arts Center remains a vital part of our community.

We look forward to the day when we can come together to heal, engage, explore and reconnect through the arts. Please stay well, and know we are deeply grateful for any contribution you can give at this unprecedented time.

CARES Act and Our Response

While many arts organizations across the country are struggling with losses, 4.5 billion dollars according to Americans for the Arts, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is continuing to move forward by maximizing resources, mitigating expenses where we can, and using CARES Act funds in an attempt to keep staff, our key programming asset, employed through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Though working remotely, the staff are still creating and sharing performing arts and educational programming virtually, and the Arts Center is playing its part to support the community.

Some of Our Current Community Impact Projects

  • Our Costume Shop staff have been sewing hundreds of face masks for medical professionals and first responders.
  • Our Theater Department is hosting a Virtual Play Club — a chance for everyone to join in and read a play together with a talk-back by Arts Center staff and actors.
  • Our Education and Marketing staff have created a series of online arts education programs tied to S.C. curriculum standards. Tailored for youth and families and as a resource for teachers, free Arts Center lessons can be found on YouTube.
  • Families can participate in our Family Art Challenges.
  • The Arts Center hosted Help 4 Hope which provided free meal cards for local furloughed and out of work restaurant workers and their families.
"The Arts center has been a major contributor to the economic, cultural, and educational life of our community."
– Bob Lee, Board Chairman

The Arts Center Has Been Severely Impacted by COVID-19

During this programming pause, we have had to cancel our largest fundraiser Bourbon & Bubbles, our performance of Charlotte Ballet and the associated education programs for our community youth, as well as postpone our upcoming production of Kinky Boots.

All programs and activities are on hiatus until we return as the federal, state and local orders allow.

How You Can Help

We need your support with an additional gift, above and beyond an Annual Fund donation, to 'bridge the gap' until we can restart our programming.

Please make a tax-deductible gift now to support the Arts Center. Your generous donation will have a significant impact on the future of the Arts Center's theater and presenting programs, as well as keep us a mainstay in the economic fabric of our community.

A gift, in any amount, is more important now than ever before as we join together in finding our way through these difficult times and get back to doing what we do best... producing world-class theater, presenting great artists, and providing exceptional arts education outreach classes and festivals — all which touch thousands and bring joy to the hearts of our audiences.

All donations, of any size, are vital to our mission and financial well-being.
Please help us now and your gift will truly make a difference.
