A Chorus Line examines one day in the lives of seventeen dancers, all vying for a spot in the “chorus line” of a Broadway musical. Session II: July 15-19 (Session II - Age 6-8 AT CAPACITY)
Explore music, dance & drama in this 1 week camp and work with professional artists to create a mini showcase performance for family and friends! Ages 6-8 & 9-13. Pair with Mixed Up Masterpieces for a full camp day.

Mixed- Up Masterpieces
Session I: June 17-21
Session II: July 15-19
Study folk and fine art from all around the world inspired by both traditional and unusual 2D and 3D masterpieces. Ages 6-8 AT CAPACITY. Spots available for ages 9-13. Pair with Take the Stage for a full day of camp.

Theatre Camps 2019
Session I: July 22-26
Session II: August 5-9
Campers will experience a mini-production and will not only be the cast, but will also be the production crew, learn how to understand and develop characters, create sets and props, and design costumes, then will perform for family and friends on Friday afternoon.

Kids N' Clay Camp
July 22-25
August 2
Students will learn a variety of ceramic hand building techniques including pinch, slab, coil, surface decoration, glazing, and more! No Class July 26 as clay pieces will be fired in the kiln. Students return the following Friday to glaze the work.

Audition: Murder on the Orient Express
Auditions for “MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS,” the Arts Center's fall season opening production are on Saturday, June 1 from 11:00AM – 6:00PM. The production will be directed by Russell Treyz, well known to the Arts Center for directing “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Pride & Prejudice” among others.

Rehearsals for MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS begins on September 10, and performances run from October 1 - 27, 2019. Actors must be available for all rehearsals and performances.

Maintenance Technician
Immediate opening for part-time maintenance technician. Applicant must be able to work some weekends, evenings and on-call hours. Previous maintenance experience preferred.

Duties include but are not limited to: daily maintenance and cleaning tasks both indoors and outdoors, conducting routine inspections of premise and equipment, light plumbing and repair work, oversee contractors when required and light painting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Some knowledge of HVAC systems is helpful.

Kathleen Bateson Receives

2019 Verner Award

Kathleen Bateson, CEO of the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, received a commendation on April 2, 2019 from Hilton Head Island's Mayor, John McCann, in recognition of Kathi being this year's Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award recipient for individual contribution in the arts. Congratulations, Kathi!

The 2019 Verner Awards will be presented with the Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Awards at South Carolina Arts Awards Day sponsored by Colonial Life on Wednesday, May 1 in a morning ceremony at the USC Alumni Center in Columbia. The S.C. Arts Foundation will honor the recipients afterward during an honors luncheon. #verneraward #scartscommission
