Native American Flute Making
Under Hawk’s tutelage, the students will learn the cultural and historical background of the Native American flute. They will make a Native American style flute from river cane, mathematically calculating and mapping out the placement of the holes for their flute, burning the holes, and fashioning the rest of the instrument.

The Arts Center is thrilled to present comedian Caroline Rhea on Friday, March 24 at 8:00 pm.

Caroline Rhea is the hilarious standup comedian, actress and model who was the original host of the reality television show The Biggest Loser on NBC. Rhea voices the character Linda Flynn-Fletcher, the mother of Phineas and Candace Flynn and stepmother of Ferb Fletcher, on the long running animated series Phineas and Ferb. She is well known for her role as Hilda Spellman from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and for her syndicated talk show, The Caroline Rhea Show.

Gullah Heritage Trail Tours
Gullah Heritage Trail Tours will be picking up and dropping off at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Learn about the culture of Gullah people during a two-hour bus tour narrated by native Gullah folks who are descendants of former slaves dating back to years immediately after the Civil War. You will travel through the Gullah communities on Hilton Head Island when the island’s landscape was only farmlands, trees, dirt roads, wildlife and natural waterways throughout and around the island.
