3D Printing 1-Day Camp
June 22 (9:30-3:30)
Have you ever wanted to make a 3D model for Minecraft, gaming or an invention but didn't know where to begin? Bring a laptop to this full-day workshop and learn basic CAD modeling and learn about all the latest advancements in 3D design and printing. (Ages 10-16)

STEAM Camp 1
3D Printing Camp
June 25-29 (9-12 noon)
AT CAPACITY. Students will take a hands-on journey into the exciting technology of 3D Printing and complete a mixed media “design challenge” as a final project featuring this innovative technology. (Laptop needed.)

Da Vinci Lab for Creative Arts and Sciences
June 25-29 (1-4pm)
AT CAPACITY. Welcome to Da Vinci’s Lab for Creative Arts and Sciences. GET CREATIVE as you explore how to use a variety of materials including 3D printing to make 2D and 3D masterpieces as we learn about the art and life of Leonardo DaVinci.

Take the Stage!
Session II: July 9-13
AT CAPACITY for all ages. Explore music, dance and drama in this one week camp. Students will be exposed to a variety of performing art forms and will create a mini showcase performance for family and friends on Friday! Ages 6-8 and 9-13.

Session II: July 9-13
In this one-week camp, students will study folk and fine art from all around the world that will inspire both traditional and unusual 2D and 3D masterpieces.

Theatre Camp ONE
Session I: June 25-29
CAMP IS AT CAPACITY! Join us for Session 2, Summer Shakespear! We will take one of his cherished plays, Romeo and Juliet, and flip it upside down. You get to change the setting, the time period and even the storyline.

Theatre Camp TWO
Upside Down Shakespeare
Session II: July 23-27
"O, Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" Or rather, "Dude! Where are you already?" Make a cast of new friends during this exciting week of creativity as we dive into the world of the greatest playwright in history: William Shakespeare. We will take one of his cherished plays, Romeo and Juliet, and flip it upside down.

Tinker Camp
July 30-Aug. 3 (9-12 noon)
AT CAPACITY. Tinker Camp is an exciting and hands-on learning opportunity for youth, with a special emphasis on the STEAM curriculum areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).

STEAM Camp 4
Star Wars Transformers: Cardboard Character Creation
July 30 - Aug. 3 (1-4pm)
Students will learn to manipulate and engineer cardboard to build a static Transformers/Star Wars style model and will be challenged to incorporate multi-functional design elements to represent both the vehicle mode and the robot mode in their prototype.

Both age groups joined together for a final performance!

Actors created their own script and rehearsed their show.

Jay Apking's Theater Camp was filled with young actors!

The performance was costumed and performed for parents.

Family Workshop: Intro to 3D Printing
Session 1: June 20
Session 2: June 21
1pm to 3pm
Both Sessions are now At Capacity. This 2-hour exploration of 3D printing will give you a new perspective on how to make anything you can imagine. You'll learn all about 3D printing technology including software, hardware, and design then have fun making your own 3D printed Island Keepsake.

Kids N' Clay Camp
June 18-21
June 29
At Capacity! Students will learn a variety of ceramic hand building techniques: including pinch, slab, coil, surface decoration, glazing, and more! No Class Friday, June 22 as clay pieces will be fired in the kiln. Students return the following Friday, June 29, to glaze the work.

Tomorrow’s Myths Today
Wednesdays, Jan. 31-March 28
During this 9-week session students will dive deeply into scene work and character development skills while rehearsing for a final production in which every participant plays a part!

Homeschool Art
Fridays, Jan. 12-Feb. 16, 2018
AT CAPACITY: During the 6-week session students will create unique works of art based on renowned American artists. This program will complement the "Discovering Great Artists" homeschool curriculum.

Native American Talking Sticks
Tuesday, Feb. 20 (Ages 13-adult)
Wednesday, Feb. 21 (Ages 6-12)
The Talking Stick is a tool used in many Native American traditions when a council or meeting is called. Each participant will use paint, feathers, hide, and other materials to create their own talking stick, for decorative purposes or to be used with storytelling games.
